Opening God’s Action Plan For Your Life
May 2, 2018
Passage: Hebrews 11;1-40
Service Type:

INTRODUCTION: Last week we started building or setting the stage for our faith walk with God. We looked at how TEMPTATIONS can hinder, and has already hindered most of our faith in the LORD. We read from Ecclesiastes (4:1-12)
THE PARENTAL STRUGGLES (15 going to 25)
When we are at that age, we don’t necessarily hate our parents, but we bring ourselves to believe that our parents are against us in all we want to do. We already pre-meditate on the thoughts that whatever is going to come out of the mouths of our parents is not going to be favorable for us so we don’t want to hear, hence, we do not listen. Then the outcome we miss the vital lesson we should have learnt at those ages to equip us in our growing up life.
THE REALITY WE ENCOUNTER WITH LIFE’S STRUGGLES:
As and when we go through varying struggles, we independently, weather we are Christians or none Christians, we are inundated with questions that we would love for God, and the people that knows him to answer, but majority of the time we seem not to have an answer. Then as we behave with our parents at 15 going to 25, we begin to put the same behavior up with God.
QUESTIONS SUCH AS?
Who is God? How can I know Him? Why doesn’t he reveal himself to me? More questions such as what do I have to go through so much struggles in life? Who can convince me that God is on my side? How can I fully understand that? What is the best and candid way for me to continue to follow God in the midst of all the current spiritual atmosphere?
PART ANSWER:
All of these aforementioned questions do have answers. The initial concern for each of us is to first address certain personal factors such as the issues that are causing, creating or extending the GAP in your life and try to close those. “God Action Plan.” Leave the GAP’s for God to work in your life open, and close the ones that are causing us to face death. READ PART OF HEBREWS!! Fast forward Let us quickly look at Hebrews, “These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised, 40 since God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.” (Hebrews 11:39-40)
WHAT GOD DID TO INFLUENCE US:
Let us examine the four tactics God has used to help people love what they hate.
Allow for Choice
Create direct Experience
Tell Meaningful stories
Make it a game.
ALIGNING THESE FOUR TACTICS WITH ALL THE FATHER OF FAITH IN HEBREWS:
Abraham believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness.” (Genesis 15:6; Romans 4:3; Romans 4:22, and James 2:23).
